His daughter, who was also shot, is in critical situation at an undisclosed hospital. It was learnt that the suspected kidnappers laid siege to the PDP chieftain at his textile mill residence while Elder Sorae and his family went to church.
It also was gathered that the suspected kidnappers opened fire on his vehicle when they arrived from church service and were about entering their compound.
As a result his wife, driver and orderly were shot dead in the process while his daughter sustained gunshot injuries.
The shooting created panic in the area as people ran for their lives. The suspected kidnappers met no resistance and that created doubt whether they were actually kidnappers or assassins.
This is so sad because the wife is someone I truly admire, may her soul and that of the police as well as the orderly RIP, Amen.
