The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Malam Lamido Sanusi and former Head of Service Stephen Oransaye are billed to be honoured by the management of the University of Benin.
This was disclosed in Benin on yesterday by the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Osayuki Oshodin while briefing the media on this year's convocation and 41st founders' day ceremonies of the university.
The Vice Chancellor said for this year's convocation ceremonies the Senate of the University has approved the results of 8,782 graduands to be awarded different diplomas and degrees of the institution.
He said the figure include 62 first class, 1,416 second class upper; 3,682 second class lower; 908 third class;863 Diplomas; 1,296 Masters; 71 doctorate degrees (PhDs) among others.
The Vice Chancellor said the administration had remained committed in ensuring that the University's high quality manpower was retained and their services fully utilized for the good of the system
