Three Explosions Rock Churches In Kaduna, Zaria

Three explosions rocked Kaduna State on Sunday morning.

Two blasts occurred in the ancient city of Zaria, while the third one took place in the Trikania area of Kaduna metropolis.

Our correspondent gathered that the Zaria explosions occurred at about 8.30am.

The Kaduna blast took place at exactly 10.00am.

Although The Nation could not immediately confirm the exact location, reports say that the Zaria explosions occurred at the ECWA Church in Wusasa and the CKC Church in Sabon Gari.

 The scene of the Kaduna blast, according to reports was the Shalom Church along the Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway in the city.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Aminu Lawan, confirmed the development, saying "yes, there is an explosion in Zaria and we are on top of the situation".

However, the number of victims could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
